InPlanet is a mission-driven, remote-first ClimateTech startup headquartered between Germany and Brazil with hubs in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, New York and London. We’re scaling Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) in tropical agriculture as a powerful method to remove carbon, regenerate soils, and transform the way food is grown in the tropics.
Our vision is simple but bold: to sequester gigatons of CO2 while regenerating tropical soils in order to create a livable planet with nutritious food and healthy ecosystems for future generations. We’re doing this in partnership with farmers, scientists, and industry leaders - and we’re growing fast.
Our company culture blends people-first care and performance excellence. The Rocket represents our ambition and drive; the Heart symbolizes our focus on empathy, integrity, and collective impact.
We’re proud of our globally diverse team and inclusive culture. Our teams span across continents, but our boots are firmly on the ground in Brazil - where the real climate impact happens.

About InPlanet
About the Role
At InPlanet, we are building a new category in carbon removal: and how we operate internally needs to evolve just as fast.
We’re looking for an AI & IT Operations Lead who will fundamentally change how our teams work by embedding AI into everyday operations, while ensuring our systems remain reliable, secure, and scalable as we grow.
Your mission is clear: use AI to multiply how the company operates: reducing manual work, increasing speed, and helping teams make better decisions. At the same time, you will own the IT backbone that keeps everything running smoothly, from our digital tools to our physical environments, including our Lab in Piracicaba.
This is not a support role. You are the owner of AI enablement at InPlanet: from spotting opportunities to making sure solutions are actually used and create real impact.

How you'll work across the organization:
This role sits at the intersection of Technology, Operations, and People:
- You will work side-by-side with teams across the company to rethink how they operate using AI.
- You will partner closely with the Tech team on tools, experimentation, and integrations.
- You will ensure a strong operational backbone by collaborating with the People team on infrastructure and workplace experience.

- Identify where AI can 10x our workflows: spot inefficiencies, manual work, and bottlenecks across teams.
- Turn ideas into real tools: implement and roll out practical AI solutions (automations, copilots, integrations) that teams actually use.
- Work directly with teams to redesign processes and embed AI into their day-to-day work.
- Drive adoption, not just implementation: train, support, and push until solutions stick.
- Create simple playbooks and best practices so teams can confidently use AI.
- Own AI governance: ensure tools are used securely, responsibly, and in line with our data practices.
- Stay on top of what’s evolving and bring the most relevant tools and ideas into the company.
- Own our IT ecosystem end-to-end: keep systems reliable, secure, and scalable.
- Set up and maintain the IT infrastructure for our Lab in Piracicaba, including networks, access, and device connectivity.
- Manage our core tools (Notion, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Personio, etc.), including permissions, integrations, and workflows.
- Own device lifecycle management (procurement, MDM, maintenance, tracking).
- Ensure strong cybersecurity practices across the organization.
- Act as the go-to person for technical support, minimizing downtime for teams.
- Continuously improve how our systems connect and work together.
You can be a Rock-Star if you have
- ~3–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or similar roles.
- Experience experimenting with or driving AI / automation initiatives (even small-scale — what matters is mindset and action).
- Strong hands-on experience with tools, workflows, and system optimization.
- Solid understanding of IT environments (networking, access, security, etc.).
- Experience managing SaaS tools and integrations.
- Comfortable with automation or scripting (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
- Experience with device management (MDM) is a plus.
- Advanced English and Portuguese.
- Based in Piracicaba, Campinas, or São Paulo region
- You naturally think: “this could be faster, simpler, automated.”
- You take ownership and follow through until things actually work.
- You are hands-on and enjoy building, testing, and improving.
- You balance speed and reliability — you move fast, but don’t break what matters.
- You can translate technical ideas into simple, useful solutions for others.
- You’re curious, pragmatic, and excited about applying new technology in the real world.
- Experience in startups or fast-scaling environments.
- Experience building AI workflows at scale.
- Basic knowledge of Python or similar.
- Interest in Climate Tech, AgTech, or lab environments.
