Our Mission is to enable farmers in the tropics to replace synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and limestone with (silicate) rock powder from local mines.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESIRED OUTCOMES
As a Soil Scientist you will be responsible for researching and understanding the all relevant components of Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) in tropical soils with a special focus on soil, rock, plant and climate interactions. You will design and manage experiments to generate novel insights about the manyfold interactions in tropical soil. https://www.loom.com/share/96bc822d85264652b527284fcede6839Your experiments will contribute to effectively monitoring the impact of ERW on the soils mineralogy, biota. Your key goal will be to co-create a robust and reliable methodology to measure carbon removal. You will also be responsible to iteratively improve our model for world-class simulation, monitoring and verification of ERW. You will be a key player in our world-class science team and cooperate with global leaders of various universities and research initiatives. To fulfil this role you’ll bring a combination of top-notch science expertise, precision, focus, hands-on mentality, positive energy and the ability to drive things forward.
